[UPDATE] One Piece 1054 Spoilers Reddit: This Important Character Dies!

The One Piece manga series is currently on hiatus for a whole month because Eiichiro Oda decided to take a vacation. This he did to prepare the final Saga for the series. 

Oda Sensei himself was on hiatus from the end of last June until next July. 

And with chapter 1054 which will be released in the near future, fans can't wait for the next story.
