One Piece 1050: Oda Finally Shows Luffy's Mother's Face, Turns Out She's a Celestial Dragon

Monkey D Luffy's family still has many mysteries until One Piece 1050.

One of the mysteries up to One Piece 1050 was regarding the identity of Luffy's mother.

From the fact that Eiichiro Oda gave it, Luffy's mother is allegedly a Celestial Dragon aka Tenryuubito.

The following is a discussion of One Piece 1050 regarding Luffy's mother who is from the Celestial Dragon clan.

There are indeed many mysteries that surround this very powerful family.

First is the mystery about the figure of Monkey D Dragon who is the father of Luffy and the leader of the Revolutionary Army.

The strength and information about his past has not yet been revealed by Oda.

Another thing that is still a mystery about this family is about Luffy's mother.

Even Luffy's mother is arguably far more mysterious than Dragon.

One thing that's ridiculous about Luffy is that at first he didn't even know he had a father.

Until finally Garp accidentally said who his father was.

So why until now Garp has not discussed Luffy's mother figure one bit. Instead he discussed the figure of the Dragon first.

It is as if something is being covered up or deliberately not disclosed and discussed.

This was most likely related to Garp's hatred of the Celestial Dragon.

It's not impossible if Luffy's mother is part of the Tenryuubito so that Garp doesn't want and doesn't want to talk about it.

Plus the most popular theory right now is that Luffy's mother is a Celestial Dragon.

It is stated in the theory that Dragon is involved in a rather strange destiny.

So that Dragon can fall in love with the figure of the Celestial Dragons like Luffy's mother.

Then over time they both have a child named Monkey D Luffy.

There are two possibilities regarding the fate of Luffy's mother at this time.

First, he was executed because he fell in love with an ordinary person from Clan D, namely Dragon, who in fact was the sworn enemy of the Celestial Dragons.

Secondly he is still alive and living in Mariejoa territory or other unknown areas.

Despite the many theories that have emerged, in fact Oda has already given clues about Luffy's mother.

The mangaka once said in an SBS column that Luffy's mother had actually been in the One Piece story all along.

Then in American Shonen Jump Jump 2009, Oda also explained that if Luffy's mother appeared in the story.

So she is a strong woman, firm, and not a figure of a beautiful woman.

Then a fan also asked if Oda had ever drawn Luffy's parents.

Oda then replied that all this time Luffy's parents had appeared in the story.

That means that Luffy's mother has been shown but we still don't know that she is Luffy's mother.

Of course, the appearance of Luffy's mother will be a surprising thing like when Luffy's original devil fruit was revealed.

It will be interesting to see how Oda will reveal the true identity of Luffy's mother in One Piece 1050 or the next chapters.

It will also be answered after One Piece 1050 whether Luffy's mother is a Celestial Dragon or just an ordinary human.

I bet that she's irrelevant to the story and won't be revealed just like Oda himself said in an SBS before.

Hey, I have a request. I know it probably won't make a difference as you'll probs not see my comment, but could you please change the title of this article and exclude the part about *SPOILER* *SPOILER* *SPOILER* Luffy's mom being a celestial dragon? I've read the manga and really enjoy Oda's artwork but I'm emotionally attached to the voice actors having grown up watching the Anime, plus the animation for the latest arcs has really improved so I've been watching the anime exclusively and don't read the manga atm so as to not spoil the story and I also take breaks from watching and wait until a lot of episodes have come out because I prefer to binge watch and hate waiting weekly for one episode.

Point being, that I'm not even caught up to where where Anime is at and just started binge watching the wano arc again because I have 100+ episodes to watch now and so I wasn't aware of this plot development and the title of this article just spoiled this for me. It's not a huge plot point to have spoiled, but it's still disappointing that I couldn't be surprised and find this out by watching the anime. I know the internet is full of spoilers and I'm pretty good at avoiding them and work really hard at avoiding them, but this article came up in my Google recs and I saw it out of the corner of my eye and it was instantly spoiled for me.

I ask this favor for other peoples sake like me, so that it doesn't spoil it for them. I get that you have to make attention grabbing titles so as to raise your view count and enable your site to be profitable, and I respect that, but I feel like a title like, "Luffy's Mom's Face Finally Shown by Oda. Luffy's Mother's Shocking Identity Revealed!" works just as well at catching people's attention and getting them to click on the article without spoiling it for people who don't want to have the story spoiled. In fact, I'd argue that the aforementioned title is more compelling, because it entices the reader by hinting at her identity and for those who don't mind spoilers and just wanna know, they'll be more likely to click the article because now they have to actually read it to find out.

Whereas with the current title many people won't click on it because it already gave them the answer. Anyways, I know this comment is ridiculously long because I'm horrible at being concise lmao and I know its a lot to type out about a minor spoilers in a title, but I'm passionate about art and storytelling and it really bums me out when any part of a story I love is spoiled and I know there are others who feel similarly and so if there's any chance I can help them not be spoiled them I'm gonna take it. Anyhoo, no disrespect intended and I hope none of my comment came off as disrespectful. I feel no anger nor resentment against you because you're just doing your job (also being angry and resentful towards anyone over this kind of thing would be stupid and childish lmao). Have a good day!

Lmfao what? I'm assuming that's a joke, I mean it's obviously a joke. But, at the same time, I'd kind of respect it, if you were serious. Like that would be a buck wild fan theory and it would, but it would be admirable and almost beautiful if you had committed to such an insane theory. If you are being genuine, then I would honestly love to see the Pepe Silva-esque diagrams explaining the logic behind said theory.
