9 Sports Anime That Will Air in 2022 (Must Watch/Most Anticipated)

3. Ao Ashi


Still with the soccer theme, Ao Ashi will be present in April 2022. 

The anime adapted from the manga by Yugo Kobayashi will be produced by Studio Production I.G. 

The story revolves around Ashito Aoi, a high school student who meets Tatsuya Fukuda, a soccer coach in the J Youth League.

Tatsuya Fukuda saw the hidden talent in Ashito Aoi and finally he invited Ashito Aoi to attend a trial practice at his club. 

The voice actors who will star in this anime are Kouki Oosuzu, Chikahiro Kobayashi, Maki Kawase, Junya Enoki, and Tatsumaru Tachibana. Guaranteed fun!

4. Futsal Boys


Still related to soccer, Futsal Boys will be there to accompany you in early 2022, January 9, 2022 to be exact. 

Tells the story of Haru Yamato who joins the Japanese futsal team Koyo Academy to follow in the footsteps of his idol, Tokinari Tennoji. 

He also tries to become a talented futsal player like his idol.

The anime, which was produced by Studio diomedéa, will feature several voice actors, such as Shuto Ishimori, Ryouta Takara, Kazuki Furuta, Yasunao Sakai, and Ryoutarou Yamaguchi.

5. Slam Dunk the Movie



The most popular basketball anime, Slam Dunk, is said to be releasing a film in the fall of 2022. 

Takehiko Inoue, the author of the manga Slam Dunk, will take full responsibility for this project.

The Slam Dunk anime itself has been released since 1993 and the news of the appearance of the film in 2022 was warmly welcomed by fans. 

This anime itself tells the story of Hanamichi Sakuragi who tries to become a great basketball player to attract a girl named Haruko Akagi.

6. Love All Play


The anime, which is adapted from a novel by Asami Koseki, will reportedly be released in April 2022.

8. Tsurune: Kazemai Koukou Kyuudou-bu Movie


Turning to archery, it is reported that Tsurune: Kazemai Koukou Kyuudou-bu Movie will be present in 2022. 

The anime, which has been released since October 2018, tells the story of an archery club that is packaged in the drama and slice of life genres.
