On April 13, 2022, the DVD of the Japanese film Hiraite was released.

Being one of the most anticipated films, of course the release of this DVD is quite awaited. The film itself was released in Japanese theaters in October 2021.

Intrigued by the film starring Anna Yamada and the theme of a love triangle between this mindblowing teenager? Check out the following reviews.

1. Has an unusual plot

This film tells the story of Ai Kimura (played by Anna Yamada) a popular girl who is in the 3rd grade of high school.
Ai is also one of the top students at school, but Ai secretly likes her classmate Tatoe Nishimura (Ryuto Sakuma) since the 1st grade of high school.

Tatoe is an unobtrusive and mysterious boy figure. One day, Ai finds Tatoe reading a letter.

Curious, Ai finds out about the letter and finds out that Tatoe has a special relationship with Miyuki (Haruka Imou).

After learning of the special relationship between Tatoe and Miyuki, while still hiding her feelings for Tatoe, Ai approaches Miyuki instead.

2. This is the first film starring Ryuto Sakuma

Hiraite is the first film starring Ryuto Sakuma.

Ryuto Sakuma is an idol from the Johnny & Associates agency and is part of a Junior Group called HiHi Jets.

Although he has starred in a number of dramas, in the film, Hiraite is Ryuto Sakuma's first.

Junior Group itself is an idol group that has not yet had a debut CD.

But even so, Ryuto Sakuma is quite popular and already has his own fanbase.

No wonder his fans have been waiting for his first acting in a film.

3. Anna Yamada's good acting

One of the things that makes this film worth watching is Anna Yamada who is lined up to be the main role in this film.

Anna plays the popular but complicated Ai Kimura.

Having starred in films such as Aishu Cinderella, Suicide Forest Village, and Murder at Shijinso, Anna Yamada's acting certainly doesn't need to be doubted.

4. A two-hour film that makes you curious

With a duration of two hours, this film flows well and has a plot that will make you feel at home following until the end.

You will be immersed in the emotions felt by Ai, Tatoe, and Miyuki.

Not only that, you will also be curious about every scene that will occur later.

This unusual love triangle story will have you watching without blinking.

5. Based on the novel by Risa Wataya

Hiraite film, which is directed by a young director, Rin Shuto, who previously had experience directing a film called Please Don't Go Anywhere in 2018.

Hiraite film has a pretty gloomy feel.

Interestingly, this film is based on the novel of the same name written by Risa Wataya.

Previously, Risa Wataya had written the novel Tremble All You Want in 2017.

A Japanese film that is quite anticipated because it presents a unique story plot and a love story that is not mindblowing, Hiraite needs to be included in the watchlist.
