When will One Piece end? This is Oda Sensei's New Answer!

When will One Piece end? This is Oda Sensei's New Answer!

One Piece story by Eiichiro Oda has indeed become a very extraordinary phenomenon when it was first released in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997.

And since then, One Piece has never experienced a decline in popularity.

An interesting storyline, unique characters, and different story elements are some of the reasons the series is still surviving.

At this point, One Piece is a fairly large series where Eiichiro Oda, as the creator of the series, can continue the story as long as he wants.

But, of course it raises the question, how long?

He himself has very often given "prediction" when he will finish the series.

For example, in 2020 yesterday he said he would finish the One Piece series in the next five years.

Then, several years ago he also mentioned that he would finish One Piece in approximately five years.

In the early 2000s, Oda Sensei also said the same thing which was ultimately not proven.

Eiichiro Oda's New Plan

When will One Piece end? This is Oda Sensei's New Answer!

Recently, Eiichiro Oda conducted an interview with the writer or creator of the Detective Conan series, Aoyama Gosho.

Both of them asked each other about their respective works.

Oda himself briefly talked about the future of the One Piece series, while also confirming the final plans for the series.

In an interview with Aoyama, Oda reiterated about when One Piece will be finished.

According to him, the One Piece series is scheduled to end in approximately 5 years.

That is, the One Piece series may be finished in 2027.

However, what's interesting is that even though he plans to end the series in the next 5 years, he personally hopes that the series will be finished in 3 years even though he's actually not sure he will be able to do it.

Oda also confirmed that he had prepared everything for the ending of the series.

In conclusion, the One Piece story will be finished in 2025-2027.

However, it is still "possible" aka there is no certainty.

Oda Sensei is actually not the first time he wants to end the One Piece story in five years.

We'll just have to wait, geeks, whether the series will be finished in the next few years.
