The Husband, The Apartment Job, and Love in Sync: Your K-Drama Lineup for July 2026

The Husband K-drama 2026

July 2026 K-Drama Drop Is Absolutely Stacked — Here's What to Watch

The second half of 2026 is off to a blistering start for K-drama fans. After a relatively quiet spring, July is delivering a packed lineup across KBS2, JTBC, Netflix, and Disney+ — with something for every mood, from gritty thrillers to supernatural rom-coms. Let's break down the biggest premieres you need on your radar.

The Husband — Namkoong Min Returns to Thriller Mode

The Husband (KBS2, premiered July 4) marks the drama comeback of Namkoong Min, the actor who stole hearts in Hot Stove League and One Dollar Lawyer. He plays Kang Tae-ju, a man on the brink of divorce whose life spirals further when his wife Go Se-yun — played by Lee Seol (Doctor on the Edge) — is kidnapped by a dangerous criminal. What follows is a desperate, high-stakes rescue mission that forces Tae-ju to confront everything he thought he knew about his marriage.

Rounding out the cast are Kim Dae-myung (Misaeng) and Lee Sang-hee in supporting roles. The series airs Saturdays and Sundays at 9:20 PM KST, making it the perfect weekend binge. Early episodes have already drawn praise for Namkoong Min's intense performance and the show's tight pacing.

Love in Sync and The Apartment Job — Two Very Different Vibes

If you're looking for something lighter, Love in Sync (Lifetime/Disney+, July 4) pairs Kim Myung-soo (aka L from K-pop group Infinite) with Kang Min-ah (True Beauty) in a supernatural rom-com. Kim plays Cha Eun-hwan, an overly empathetic counselor, while Kang is Yoo Ji-an, an emotionally closed-off pop star. Through a mysterious phenomenon, they begin sharing each other's emotions. It's Crash Landing on You meets Your Name, and the chemistry between the leads is already generating buzz.

On the darker side, The Apartment Job (JTBC, July 11) stars Ji Sung (Doctor John) as Park Hae-kang, a former gang boss who runs for apartment residents' council president to get his hands on hidden building funds. The show also features Ha Yun-kyung (Extraordinary Attorney Woo), Park Byung-eun, and acclaimed film actress Moon So-ri. Think Money Game but with neighborhood politics and dark humor.

And don't forget The East Palace on Netflix, starring Nam Joo-hyuk (Start-Up, Bride of the Century) in a historical fantasy that's been compared to The Tale of Nokdu. With 60+ K-dramas having aired in the first half of 2026 alone, the genre shows no signs of slowing down.
