My Bias, My Boss — Office Rom-Com Chaos (tvN / HBO Max, Aug 3)

Based on the hit webtoon, this workplace rom-com stars Kim Hye-jun (fresh off A Shop for Killers Season 2) as Nam Da-reum, a superfan who turns down better offers to work at fashion startup Appello — all to get closer to her idol bias Lee Chan, played by Cha Woo-min. Plot twist: she catches the eye of the cool young CEO Kang Ha-gi (Kang Hoon) instead. ITZY's Yuna shows up in a key supporting role too. Mondays and Tuesdays are officially booked.

Flex X Cop Season 2 — The Heir Is Back (SBS / Disney+, Aug 7)

Ahn Bo-hyun returns as Jin Yi-soo, the chaebol heir turned Violent Crimes detective, now fresh out of police academy. Season 2 shakes things up with a strict new team leader, Ju Hye-ra (Jung Eun-chae), a former counter-terrorism ace who used to be his toughest academy instructor. Expect sharper clashes, higher-stakes cases, and guest appearances from the likes of Yoo Seung-ho. It's still the same winning mix of slick action and rich-kid-vs-bureaucracy comedy.

Our Sticky Love — Netflix's Sweetest Surprise (Netflix, Aug 7)

Jung Hae-in leads this one as Jang Tae-ha, a former teen boxer turned small-town coach with a gang past. When his first love — prosecutor Go Eun-sae (Ha Young) — loses her memory after an accident, he claims to be her boyfriend to shield her from the crime syndicate hunting her. Forced cohabitation, secret-keeping, and a dangerously sweet romance follow. All episodes drop at once, so cancel your Friday plans.

Mousetrap — The Thriller of the Month (Netflix, Aug 28)

If you like your K-dramas dark, Mousetrap is the one. Ryu Jun-yeol plays Mun-jae, a reclusive novelist who wakes up to find his identity, money, and entire life erased by a shadowy figure called "The Rat." He teams up with No-ja (Sul Kyung-gu), a loan shark running a private detective outfit, to claw it all back. Directed by Kim Hong-sun (The Guest, Money Heist: Korea), it's a cat-and-mouse crime drama starring two of Korean cinema's heaviest hitters.

Four Hands, Two Sonatas — A Musical Goodbye to Summer (tvN / Netflix, Aug 29)

Closing out the month is a youth musical romance. Song Kang is Kang Bi-o, a piano prodigy whose top-student status gets threatened by transfer student Choi Jeong-yo (Lee Jun-young), a raw talent from a rough background. Jang Gyu-ri rounds out the trio as a viola major finding her own sound. Think Twenty-Five Twenty-One energy with rival pianists — weekends belong to this one.

August 2026 has a little bit of everything: idol-fan rom-coms, cop action, an amnesia romance with a gang twist, a psychological thriller, and a musical underdog story.
