One Piece 1080 Spoilers Reddit: Betrayed by the World Government, York Joins the Yonko

Seeing the chaotic situation on Egghead Island, one of Vegapunk's female satellites, York, may decide to join one of the Yonko. 

After being a big mystery about who the traitor lurking on Egghead Island was, Oda finally revealed the culprit. 

The culprit was none other than one of Vegapunk's satellites, namely York.

This was certainly a surprising development, as the name that was most widely speculated to be the culprit was another satellite like Edison or Shaka. 

York herself was actually one of the suspicious characters, despite there being little evidence to support it. 

Nevertheless, there is an interesting speculation about York possibly joining one of the Yonko.

York's Betrayal

The fact that York was the traitor on Egghead Island was revealed in chapter 1078 yesterday. 

At the end of the chapter, York finally revealed herself to Stella, the real Vegapunk, after shooting Shaka in the head. 

York then admitted that the reason she betrayed them was because she wanted to become part of the celestial dragons, something that sounded unusual.

Then, the most terrifying thing was how York mentioned that she did not want any other Vegapunk in the world. 

She wanted to be the only Vegapunk in existence. 

That's why she decided to kill all the Vegapunks except for the real one. 

The chapter also showed how York had been doing this for a long time.

About three months ago, there was a mysterious figure who contacted Mary Geoise and reported that Vegapunk was conducting illegal research projects. 

The Cipher Pol forces were then sent to Egghead, but they did not find any solid evidence. 

The mysterious figure then contacted Mary Geoise again and asked to speak directly with the Gorosei. 

They then made a deal.

As a result of this, the World Government decided to send a massive force to Egghead. 

They even deployed a much larger and more numerous force than the events at Ohara and other Buster Call moments.

After the Frontier Dome defense system was turned off, York ordered Seraphim to kill everyone except for the two parties mentioned above.

York also ordered S-Snake to turn her into stone and then restore her when no one was looking. 

S-Snake was also ordered to destroy a place that is still unknown. 

Was this chaos deliberately created by York as part of her plan? 

It's possible.

The fact that York was betrayed by the World Government apparently shows more clearly how terrifying the ruling group in the One Piece world is.
