One Piece 1047: Gear 5 and Goro Goro's Similarities!

The figure of Kaido is currently in the main spotlight in the One Piece series, because he is the main villain in the Wano Country arc along with the other Yonko, Big Mom. 

The awesomeness of Kaido's strength and endurance is well known in the world of One Piece, where he is the most powerful being in the world.

And in fact, the fight between Luffy and his alliance against Kaido at the Battle of Onigashima had to experience obstacles because of the awesomeness of Kaido. 

All power and effort has been put into being able to defeat Kaido, which is still to no avail. 

This in the end made many fans curious about how to make Kaido subdued.

One of the things that is widely speculated among fans is how Luffy will utilize or use Gear 5 or the awakening of his devil fruit. 

And finally, after much speculation by One Piece fans, finally Eiichiro Oda confirmed about Luffy's latest power increase, Gear 5 in chapter 1044 yesterday.

In Gear 5, Luffy has just been shown to be able to jump very high. 

Even so, Luffy's body is still elastic like rubber. 

What is extraordinary is also as explained by Gorosei, that with the ability of Gear 5 or the awakening of Luffy's devil fruit, Luffy's body will be able to have its own "freedom" and also much greater "power".

However, if geeks pay attention, there are actually some things from Luffy's Gears technique, which have similarities to some of the techniques or abilities of Enel's Goro Goro no Mi. 

For example, the first is the Bounceman form from Gear 4 which has the same pose as Enel's powerful technique.

Enel's powerful technique is the Max 200,000,000 Volt Amaru Transformation. In this pose, it is shown how one arm of Luffy is clenched behind his back, while the other arm is showing his palm and is in a forward position. 

Then, another similarity is that in Gear 5 Luffy, we see how white clouds float and are around Luffy's neck.

This is also similar to the Max 200,000,000 Volt Amaru Transformation technique, where there is a kind of scarf or rope wrapped around Enel's neck. 

Furthermore, Luffy recently showed one of the awesomeness of Gear 5, namely Gomu Gomu no Gigant, a technique where Luffy enlarges his body to the size of a giant.

Again, this technique is also similar to Enel's technique above, where when activating his power, Enel's body will turn very large. 

It's just that the body size is not bigger than Luffy. One of the most epic things about Enel's Goro Goro no Mi is how he can come back to his senses after losing consciousness.

How to? 

Namely by flowing high-voltage electricity to the heart. This is what happened when Enel managed to rise in the Skypiea arc.

Luffy, when using Gear 5, also turned out to be able to do this even though the methods and methods were different. Luffy doesn't conduct electricity to his heart like Enel did.

After Luffy was unconscious, somehow, Luffy was able to force his heartbeat to beat again to the rhythm of the freedom drum. 

The louder or louder his voice - within Luffy's hearing - the faster his heart beat. And this is also what made Luffy finally come back to his senses.

The last resemblance occurred in chapter 1046 yesterday, where in the last panel it was shown how Luffy held lightning in his hand while he aimed the lightning at Kaido. 

The lightning element presented in the Gear 5 technique is certainly very similar to Enel's Goro Goro no Mi ability.

It is still unknown why then Oda Sensei presented some similarities between Gear 5 and various abilities of the Goro Goro no Mi. 

Is this intentional or unintentional.
