One Piece: Why the Celestial Dragons Don't Want to Eat Devil Fruits?

One Piece: Why the Celestial Dragons Don't Want to Eat Devil Fruits?

Most of the characters in the One Piece story have devil fruit abilities.

The main protagonist in the series, Monkey D. Luffy, possesses the Gomu Gomu devil fruit ability which makes him elastic.

Devil fruits really give a power boost to those who eat them, because each devil fruit does give its user different powers.

In fact, what is extraordinary is that those who have devil fruit abilities can still increase their devil fruit power by awakening the devil fruit power.

This was shown in the latest chapter of the One Piece series yesterday where two Supernovas were shown using their newest devil fruit ability which is a form of awakening.

Although there are many characters who eat devil fruit, regardless of the reason they eat it, there are also many people who do not eat devil fruit.

Examples are Sanji, Zoro, Nami, and several other names.

In fact, even the celestial dragons are known to not eat devil fruits and none of them have devil fruit abilities.

This is one of the peculiarities of the celestial dragons, as discussed in another article.

With their power, the celestial dragons have unlimited access to devil fruits.

We still don't know how devil fruits are created, where they come from, and why devil fruits exist.

However, what's interesting is that with unlimited access to devil fruits, why then don't the celestial dragons have devil fruit powers?

It could be that they know the dark secret of the devil fruit and also know what the dangers of the devil fruit are, when eaten by someone.

As you know, devil fruit eaters do have to bear the risk where they will lose the ability to swim in the sea.

With the world of One Piece dominated by the ocean, the ability to swim is certainly very crucial.

And losing the ability to swim makes their chances of survival in the sea small.

In addition, maybe the origin of the devil fruit is a consideration why the sky dragons don't want to eat devil fruit.

As mentioned above, we still don't know how devil fruits appear.

Did someone make it or plant it?

With all these mysteries, it seems logical if then the celestial dragons don't eat the devil fruit.

There are also many theories that try to explain the origin of devil fruit, for example, devil fruit comes from souls from the past that are trapped.

Or as the name suggests, the devil fruit was deliberately created by the devil to make humans fight against each other, with the power that is presented to those who eat it.

Boa Hancock once said that the celestial dragons treated slaves arbitrarily.

They even gave devil fruit to the slaves, for the sake of entertainment.

Maybe they know what is the danger of the devil fruit so the celestial dragons never want to eat it.

Logically, if they don't know about the dangers of devil fruits or they know that devil fruits have absolutely no side effects, then the celestial dragons will certainly eat the devil fruit and have epic powers.

No one else will be able to access the devil fruit and may eat the devil fruit other than the celestial dragons.

However, what happened was quite the opposite, they did not eat the devil fruit.

That means they know that devil fruit is something very dangerous.

Maybe, as a side effect in the short term devil fruit users will lose their ability to swim in the sea.

And in the long run, something bad could happen to them.

For example, without them realizing it, the devil fruit actually eats their life.

The stronger the use - such as awakening - the more the life ration is reduced.

Maybe this is what happened to some characters who when entering their old age had to weaken.

An example is Whitebeard, who had to suffer a mysterious illness so that his condition continued to weaken.

This could be the long-term effect of the Gura Gura devil fruit he consumed.

And this is also what the celestial dragons fear so they don't want to eat the devil fruit.

On the other hand, it's also possible that they don't think of a devil fruit as something that has potential.

The celestial dragons are known not to be intelligent.

They also relied too much on their power and status power to oppress others, and control the navy.

Thus, they think that there is no need to eat the devil fruit.

So, the conclusion is that the celestial dragons don't eat devil fruits because they know the origin the of the devil fruit.

Then they also know how dangerous the devil fruit is if consumed.

But, on the other hand, the reason they don't eat the devil fruit could also be because the celestial dragons feel they are so powerful that the devil fruit is no longer needed.
