The third season, which dropped on August 13, 2026, proved that the show's audience is still growing fast. Since its 2024 debut, the first three seasons of Tires have racked up over 45 million views combined. That's a staggering number for a show that started as a scrappy, independently financed production before Netflix picked it up.

Why Netflix Loves This Show (And It's Not Just the Laughs)

Here's the thing about Tires — it's dirt cheap to make, and it delivers massive returns. According to Deadline, the show operates on a minimal budget framework, which is a huge deal at Netflix where renewal decisions hinge heavily on cost-versus-performance metrics.

For comparison's sake, Will Ferrell's Netflix golf comedy Hawk reportedly costs three times as much as Tires to produce, yet its viewership has been underwhelming. Hawk premiered on July 16 and has been stuck in limbo ever since. Meanwhile, Gillis' show just keeps climbing the charts.

The Season 4 renewal is part of a broader overall deal between Gillis and Netflix, announced back in January 2026. As part of that deal, Gillis is also set to film two new stand-up specials for the platform. His previous special, Shane Gillis: Beautiful Dogs, has pulled in nearly 30 million views since its 2023 release — further proof that Netflix knows a good investment when it sees one.

John McKeever and Steve Gerben, who round out the creative team, will also return for Season 4. No premiere date has been announced yet, but with Season 3 just hitting its stride, expect filming updates in early 2027.
