JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run Drops 11 New Episodes on Netflix September 25

Steel Ball Run Is Back — And September 25 Can't Come Soon Enough

If you've been refreshing Netflix every Friday waiting for more JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run, the wait is almost over. After debuting its anime adaptation on Netflix back in March 2026, the beloved Part 7 arc is officially returning with 11 brand-new episodes starting September 25. And yes, it's bringing some seriously heavy-hitting new characters along for the ride.

What's Happening in the 2nd – 3rd STAGE?

Netflix has confirmed a split-cour release for the new batch of episodes, with one fresh episode dropping every Friday. The 2nd – 3rd STAGE picks up right where the first cour left off, following Johnny Joestar — a former jockey turned paraplegic — and Gyro Zeppeli, a former executioner with a mission to save a child on death row. Together, they're racing across the American frontier in the titular Steel Ball Run, a cross-country horse race with a staggering $50 million prize.

But this isn't just about crossing the finish line. The race's mysterious sponsor has a hidden agenda that's far bigger than any cash prize, and Johnny and Gyro are about to find themselves tangled in a supernatural conspiracy that will test everything they've got.

The biggest draw for this new cour? New cast members. Fan-favorite characters Mountain Tim, Funny Valentine, and Hot Pants are all set to join the anime for the first time. Funny Valentine in particular is one of the most iconic villains in all of JoJo — his introduction alone has been one of the most anticipated moments in anime adaptation history. If you've read Hirohiko Araki's manga, you already know things are about to get wild.

Netflix's JoJo Library Is Stacked

While you wait for September 25, Netflix currently has five full seasons of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure ready to binge: Phantom Blood/Battle Tendency, Stardust Crusaders, Diamond is Unbreakable, Golden Wind, and Stone Ocean. That's over 150 episodes of Stand battles, dramatic posing, and some of the most creative fight choreography in anime history.

The timing couldn't be better either. Araki's latest manga, The JoJoLands — following antisocial teenager Jodio Joestar in Hawaii — has been running since 2023 and continues to earn rave reviews. Between the manga and the anime, JoJo's is enjoying a golden era right now. Even fashion brand GU dropped a JoJo collaboration earlier this year, featuring designs from Part 1 all the way through Steel Ball Run.

And for collectors, Good Smile Company just opened pre-orders for a stunning Johnny Joestar and Slow Dancer figure — perfect for anyone who wants a piece of the Steel Ball Run action on their shelf.

Mark Your Calendar

September 25 is the date. Eleven new episodes of Steel Ball Run, one per week, all on Netflix. Whether you're a lifelong JoJo fan who's been reading the manga since the '90s or someone who just binged Stone Ocean last month, this is the anime event of the fall. Funny Valentine is coming, the stakes are higher than ever, and the Steel Ball Run is far from over.

Yare yare daze — Netflix is about to own September.
