Lupin Part 4 Gets October Release Date on Netflix — Omar Sy Returns as the Ultimate Gentleman Thief

Mark your calendars, millennials — Netflix just dropped the news we have all been waiting for. Lupin Part 4 is officially set to premiere on October 23, 2026, and the streaming giant has already unveiled a stunning new poster to go along with the announcement.

For the uninitiated, Lupin is the French-language crime drama that took the world by storm since its 2021 debut. The series stars the incredibly charismatic Omar Sy as Assane Diop, a modern-day gentleman thief inspired by the legendary Arsène Lupin character created by Maurice Leblanc over a century ago. If you have not watched it yet, consider this your sign to start.

What to Expect From Part 4

Part 4 will be the longest installment of the series yet, clocking in at eight episodes — one more than the seven-episode Part 3 that aired in October 2023. That season ended on a massive cliffhanger: after faking his own death and living under the radar, Assane spent most of Part 3 pulling off a series of high-stakes heists to secure a peaceful future for his family — his wife, son, mother, and best friend — only to ultimately sacrifice himself and turn himself in to the police.

So where do we go from here? Netflix has kept plot details under wraps, but we know Assane will reunite with a familiar crew. Ludivine Sagnier returns as Claire, Antoine Gouy as Benjamin, Soufiane Guerrab as Youssef, Shirine Boutella, Théo Christine, and Laïka Blanc-Francard round out the returning ensemble.

Behind the Camera and Between the Scenes

The directing duties for Part 4 are shared by Edouard Salier, Everardo Gout (known for Days of Grace and The Cosmonaut), and Hugo Gélin (How to Be a Latin Lover, Alibi.com). The writing team includes Mathilde Arnaud, Jean-Yves Arnaud, Tigran Rosine, and Florent Meyer, with the series created by George Kay in collaboration with François Uzan.

Production comes from Gaumont in collaboration with Carrousel Studios — the company co-founded by Omar Sy himself alongside Louis Leterrier and Thomas Benski in 2024. Between seasons, Sy has kept busy with roles in The Book of Clarence, The Stranger's Case, John Woo's The Killer, and Shadow Force, splitting his time between Los Angeles and Paris.

Why Lupin Still Matters

In an era where streaming content feels endless and disposable, Lupin has proven that a non-English language series can compete with the biggest shows on the planet. Omar Sy's portrayal of Assane Diop is effortlessly cool — part heist mastermind, part family man, all charm. The show's blend of slick action, emotional depth, and French sophistication has earned it a massive global following.

With Part 4 shaping up to be the most ambitious chapter yet, October 2026 cannot come fast enough. Set your reminders, bing-watch Parts 1 through 3, and get ready for Assane Diop's grandest escape yet.

Lupin Part 4 premieres October 23, 2026 on Netflix. All eight episodes expected to drop at once.
