Albert Kim, the showrunner, has openly addressed Season 1 criticism and made significant changes. The new season introduces Zhu Xiu as Toph Beifong — a casting choice that has generated massive buzz among fans of the original animated series by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko.
