5 Most Heroic Sacrifice Ever in Anime

To be a hero, one doesn't have to always fight against villains to protect the world.

Having the nature of being willing to sacrifice for the sake of the closest people is also enough to make that person look like a hero.

Well, the five characters below are heroes for the people they care about.

The reason, they are willing to sacrifice their lives for the people they love. Curious who the characters are? Check out the following reviews.

1. Neji sacrificed his life to protect Hinata and Naruto (Naruto)

There is no doubt that Neji Hyuga's death is one of the most tearful moments in the series.

Not only is Neji one of the most beloved characters to fans, his death is also very tragic and heroic.

When the Allied Shinobi Forces fought the Ten-Tails in the Fourth Shinobi War, the Ten-Tails threw thousands of spears at the Allied Shinobi Forces.

Through the Byakugan, Neji saw two spears aimed at Naruto and Hinata.

Even though he was able to escape, Neji decided to sacrifice himself to protect Naruto and Hinata.

At the last second, Neji told Naruto to appreciate Hinata's attention more. Neji was also grateful that Naruto had helped him in the matter with the Hyga clan.

2. Ace saves Luffy from Akainu's attack (One Piece)

Until now, the death of Portgas D Ace is still the most unforgettable moment in the One Piece series.

Ace and Luffy are not related by blood.

However, Ace already acts as an older brother to Luffy and he will do anything to protect his younger brother.

At the Peak War at Marineford, Akainu was ready to kill Luffy with his deadly attack. Knowing that his brother's life was in danger, Ace immediately sacrificed himself to protect Luffy.

Before his death, Ace thanked all of his family, especially to Luffy.

3. Erwin leads a suicide attack to defeat the Beast Titan (Attack on Titan)

When the Reconnaissance Squad goes to Shiganshina to discover Titan's secrets in the Yeager family's dungeons, a battle ensues against the Beast Titan.

As his troops continued to be wiped out bit by bit, Erwin realized that he could not win the battle.

In a moment of desperation, Erwin decides to carry out a suicide attack to distract the Beast Titan and give Levi an opportunity to attack the Titan from a blind spot.

Although Erwin is eager to know the history of Titan, he chooses to sacrifice his life for the success of the mission.

4. Oden allowed himself to be fried alive for the sake of his followers (One Piece)

Legendary Hour is the most historic moment in the world of One Piece, especially in Wano Country. After Kaido managed to take over Wano, Kaido agreed to execute Oden and nine of his followers.

At that time, Kaido decided to execute them by frying them in hot oil.

However, Oden asked for a time limit. If he managed to survive until the allotted time, he would be free from execution.

Underestimating Oden, Kaido agrees to give him 1 hour.

Oden then took a large board and told his nine followers to stand on it, while Oden soaked himself in the hot oil.

Oden managed to survive for 1 hour, but Kaido didn't keep his promise. Knowing that he and his followers will still be executed, Oden throws his nine followers, while Kaido is shot himself.

5. Rengoku was killed by a demon to protect his three new students (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba)

Mugen Train is probably the saddest arc in the series.

The reason is, fans have to lose one of their favorite Hashira, namely Kyojuro Rengoku.

After Rengoku and his three new students, Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu, defeat Enmu, they must now face a much stronger demon, Akaza.

However, Tanjiro and his two friends are no longer able to fight so Rengoku is forced to fight alone.

Akaza also briefly tried to kill Tanjiro, but Rengoku prevented him.

In the end, Rengoku lost to Akaza even though he almost killed the demon.

The sacrifices made by the five characters above are indeed extraordinary.

They are willing to sacrifice their own lives for the people they love.

What do you think about the sacrifices of the five characters above?
