Summer 2026 TV Preview: Cape Fear, Not Suitable for Work, and 18 More Shows You Need to Watch

Summer 2026 is shaping up to be an absolute feast for TV lovers, and honestly, we are living for it. From psychological thrillers to workplace comedies to long-awaited returns of fan-favorite series, the next few months are packed with must-watch content across every major streaming platform. Let us break down the shows you absolutely cannot miss.

Heavy Hitters: Cape Fear on Apple TV and Not Suitable for Work on Hulu

If there is one show we are most hyped about, it is Cape Fear on Apple TV, dropping June 5. This 10-episode psychological thriller adapts the iconic 1991 Martin Scorsese film into a modern series format. Starring Jason Clarke and Olivia Cooke, it is already generating serious buzz. Apple clearly has its eye on the prestige thriller space after the success of Silo and Dark Matter, and this could be their biggest swing yet.

On the lighter side, Mindy Kaling is back with Not Suitable for Work on Hulu, premiering June 2 with three episodes right out of the gate. Set in New York's Murray Hill neighborhood, the show follows five twenty-somethings trying to nail that elusive work-life balance. The cast is stacked: Ella Hunt, Avantika, Jay Ellis, Constance Wu, Ego Nwodim, and even Victor Garber. If Kaling's track record with The Mindy Project and Never Have I Ever is any indication, this one is going to be a hit.

The Returns We Did Not See Coming

Netflix is dropping The Four Seasons Season 2 on May 28, just in time for the weekend binge. The show, based on Alan Alda's 1981 film, follows a group of friends reuniting for seasonal trips. This time around, the crew - Tina Fey as Kate, Will Forte as Jack, and Colman Domingo as Danny - deals with the aftermath of Steve Carell's character Nick dying in a car crash, leaving behind a pregnant girlfriend played by Erika Henningsen. It is equal parts heartbreaking and hilarious.

Also on Netflix, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder returns for Season 2 on May 27. Emma Myers is back as Pip Fitz-Amobi, this time tackling the second book in Holly Jackson's trilogy, Good Girl, Bad Blood. The case involves Henry Ashton's character Henry Hastings on trial, while a new disappearance - Jamie, played by Eden H. Davies - throws everything into chaos. Expect Pip's boyfriend Ravi (Zain Iqbal) and best friend Cara (Asha Banks) to be right there with her.

Prime Video is banking on book adaptations with Every Year After, adapted from Carley Fortune's novel Every Summer After, arriving in June. And yes - Ted Lasso is coming back for Season 4 on Apple TV. We are not even going to pretend we are not emotional about that one.
