Netflix June 2026 Is Loaded — Here's Everything You Need to Watch

Netflix isn't slowing down for summer. June 2026 brings a stacked lineup of new originals and returning fan favorites — from Mexican stop-motion animation to a star-studded Dante thriller. Here are the standout releases hitting Netflix this month.

I Am Frankelda — Mexico's First Stop-Motion Animated Feature (June 12)

I Am Frankelda, directed by Arturo and Roy Ambriz, is Mexico's first-ever stop-motion animated feature — think Wallace & Gromit meets Latin American dark fantasy. It's a prequel to the series Frankelda's Book of Spooks, following Francisca Imelda, a 19th-century Mexican horror writer whose imagined world turns out to be terrifyingly real. Already generating serious buzz online, this could be one of Netflix's sleeper hits of the year.

Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 (June 25)

Netflix's live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender returns for season two, and the cast just got a major upgrade. While season one drew mixed reviews, Netflix greenlit both seasons two and three at once. The big news? Miya Cech joins as Toph Beifong, alongside Chin Han as Long Feng, Hoa Xuande as Professor Zei, Justin Chien as Earth King Kuei, Amanda Zhou as Joo Dee, Crystal Yu as Poppy Beifong, Madison Hu as Fei, and Dichen Lachman as Avatar Yangchen. The bar is set higher this time.

In the Hand of Dante — Julian Schnabel's All-Star Spectacle (June 24)

Director Julian Schnabel returns with In the Hand of Dante, based on Nick Tosches' 2002 novel about a handwritten manuscript of Dante's Divine Comedy traveling through the centuries. The cast is stacked: Oscar Isaac plays both Tosches and Dante Alighieri, backed by Gal Gadot, Gerard Butler, John Malkovich, Martin Scorsese, Al Pacino, and Jason Momoa. Venice reviews were lukewarm, but that much star power guarantees conversation.

Harlan Coben's First U.S. Netflix Thriller: I Will Find You (June 18)

After hits like Safe, Fool Me Once, and The Stranger, Harlan Coben returns with his first Netflix adaptation set in America. I Will Find You stars Sam Worthington as a man wrongfully imprisoned for his son's murder, who then discovers his son might still be alive. The supporting cast includes Britt Lower, Milo Ventimiglia, and Erin Richards. If Coben's track record means anything, this will have you binge-watching at 2 AM.

Sweet Magnolias S5 (June 11) + Little Brother (June 26)

For comfort TV, Sweet Magnolias returns for season five on June 11 — the adaptation of Sherryl Woods' novels about three best friends in a small South Carolina town. Then on June 26, Little Brother drops: a buddy comedy from director Matt Spicer starring Eric Andre and John Cena in an odd-couple pairing around the Big Brother–Little Brother program. Not high art, but perfect weekend chaos.

The Verdict

June 2026 on Netflix has genuinely something for everyone — epic fantasy, literary thrillers, Harlan Coben mind-games, and John Cena losing his mind. The real question is: how many free weekends do you have?
